ABOUT THE BRAND
Veronica Bath Lifestyle stands for curated discovery for those driven and inspired by aesthetics. VeronicaBathLifestyle.com was created at the beginning of 2023 after a two year long pandemic that rocked the world. During the mandatory order of shelter in place, I had a lot of time on my hands and I was looking for a creative outlet online where I could communicate and engage with family and friends. I was working remotely from home but work was very slow. That’s when I decided to create the brand VGB Collection, an online store where I sold primarily handmade jewelry. I knew then that I enjoyed sharing unique finds and providing styling tips to like-minded people. The store kept me busy but I still felt alone and disconnected. The stress of being home 24/7 was causing me severe anxiety.
I watched a lot of Youtube to pass the time. Thankfully, I found a gardening channel called Garden Answer. If you have not heard of it, I strongly recommend you check it out. I was immediately inspired to go outside and relandscape the entire backyard regardless of the scorching heat. Most days reaching above 100 degrees. I had found a hobby that I enjoyed. I planted dahlias the size of dinner plates, tulips with fringed petals, and soft pink David Austin roses. I dug out the grass and created a cut garden. My husband and I laid a stone pathway that lead to the tool shed that I painted a sage green and transformed it into a “she” shed from the outside but still a full functioning tool shed on the inside. I couldn’t help but share the beauty that I created in my own backyard. It felt like I was somewhere else when I was in the garden.
The hard work was rewarding but the hot sun dried my skin. Planting in composted flower beds destroyed my nails and roughed up my hands. That was NOT me. I felt like a different person. After the shelter in place order was lifted, it was time to return to my “normal” life, but nothing felt “normal” about it. I was still working remotely from home, the only difference was that I would occasionally go into the office on a “as needed basis”. I received a promotion, which required me to work long hours. I needed to get back to my old self or at least a new version of my old self. I started to get my monthly microdermabrasion treatments and occasional chemical peels to reverse the sun damage. I would apply face, hands and feet masks weekly to pamper myself and unwind after a long work week. I also started to get weekly massages on Mondays to start the work week refreshed and relaxed. At this point, managing VGB Collection was no longer possible. I was forced to shutdown VGB Collection. I still felt the need; however, to share all of the beautiful things I grew in the garden as well as the items I purchased on my weekly outings with my mom or husband.
I have a very feminine style and I love classic pieces that will stand the test of time. Now that my “new normal” is working from home and the only time anyone sees me is through a virtual meeting, I decided to donate my corporate work attire for a more business casual style. There are many people out there just like me who now work remotely and are having to adjust. On Veronica Bath Lifestyle, you will find my favorite purchases as well as links to those items or similar items so that you don’t have to scour the internet looking for it. You’ll find the most up to date sales to my favorite stores as well as styling tips. You can also find photographs of beautiful gardens and recommendations for plants that will thrive in the California heat. I believe aesthetics have the ability to enrich our lives.
I’m excited to share and inspire you to live a better version of your life by romancing the ordinary. Be on the lookout for exclusive products and collaborations with some of my very favorite and most loved brands.
